GOSPEL OF GOD in the House of God?
“For
ever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven” (Psalm 119:89).
In
our present time there are innumerable church denominations that have developed since the time of the early churches.
However,
we are to be very careful when we decide to have fellowship of worship in any
church because the word of God says:
“Keep
thy foot when thou goest to the house of God, and be more ready to hear, than
to give the sacrifice of fools: for they consider not that they do evil”
(Ecclesiastes 5:1).
“He
that burneth incense, as if he blessed an idol. Yea, they have chosen their own
ways, and their soul delighteth in their abominations” (Isaiah 66:3).
“The
sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to the LORD: but the prayer of the
upright is his delight. The way of the wicked is an abomination unto the LORD:
but he loveth him that followeth after righteousness” (Proverbs 15:8-9).
“For
the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first
begin at us, [WHAT SHALL THE END BE OF THEM THAT OBEY NOT THE GOSPEL OF GOD]?
And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner
appear?” (1 Peter 4:17-18).
Jesus,
the only begotten Son of God is very clear when he comes, says: “Not every one
that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he
that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven” (Matthew 7:21). “For many
are called, but few are chosen” (Matthew 22:14).
“I
Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches”
(Revelation 22:16).
“He
that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not
blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before
my Father, and before his angels” (Revelation 3:5).
“Behold,
I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I
will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. To him that
overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame,
and am set down with my Father in his throne” (Revelation 3:20-21).
“Blessed
are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of
life, and may enter in through the gates into the city” (Revelation 22:14).
“He
which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so,
come, Lord Jesus. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen”
(Revelation 22:20-21).
