LOVE of the word of GOD or love of the world?
To
love the word of God is to love God and his only begotten Son is to love things
of the Spirit because God is a SPIRIT (John 4:23–24): “For God so loved the
world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him
should not perish, but have everlasting life” (John 3:16).
Jesus,
the only begotten Son of God says: “It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh
profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they
are life” (John 6:63).
“Verily,
verily, I say unto you, He that [HEARETH MY WORD], and [BELIEVETH] on him that
sent me, hath [EVERLASTING LIFE], and shall not come into condemnation; but is
passed from death unto life” (John 5:24).
To
love the things of this world is to love the prince of this world is to love the
things of the Flesh is to love death because on the last day the prince of this
world and all those who worship him will be cast into the Lake of Fire for
Everlasting Punishment.
“And
the Devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone,
where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night
forever and ever” (Revelation 20:11).
“And
the smoke of their torment ascendeth up forever and ever: and they have no rest
day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the
mark of his name” (Revelation 14:11).
“Love
not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man loves the
world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the
lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of
the Father, but is of the world. And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof:
but he that doeth the will of God abideth forever” (1 John 2:15–17).
“Be
not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he
also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption;
but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting”
(Galatians 6:7-8).
