WRATH of GOD versus GREAT TRIBULATION.
Many
people are confusing the “great period of tribulation” and the “wrath of God”.
Jesus
is coming after the great tribulation when it will be the Last Day: The Day of
Judgment (Matthew 24: 29–30, 31); only God knows the day and the hour (Matthew
24:36).
When
Jesus returns, it is foretold, “And the nations were angry, and thy [WRATH IS
COME], and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou
shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and
them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which
destroy the earth” (Revelation 11:18).
Surely,
as followers of Jesus Christ we pray and hope for our salvation on the Last
Day. However, by the word of God, we have been warned that the time will come
when many will not endure sound doctrine and will turn away their ears from the
truth, which will be turned into fables (2 Timothy 4:3–4).
Jesus
says: “Take heed that no man deceive you. For many shall come in my name,
saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many” (Matthew 24:5).
“For
false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall shew signs and wonders,
to seduce, if it were possible, even the elect. But take ye heed: behold, I
have foretold you all things” (Mark 13:21-23).
“These
things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye
shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world” (John
16:33).
“Fear
none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some
of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten
days: [BE THOU FAITHFUL UNTO DEATH], and I will give thee a crown of life”
(Revelation 2:10).
Before
the End of the world on the Last Day, the Day of Judgment, after Jesus and God’s
holy angels extract all God’s elect from this earth (Matthew 25:31–34), the wod
of God says: “Then cometh the end, [WHEN HE SHALL HAVE DELIVERED UP THE KINGDOM
TO GOD], even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all
authority and power” (1 Corinthians 15:24). It is after this that the wrath of
God in poured out on this earth.
“And
the seventh angel poured out his vial into the air; and there came a great
voice out of the temple of heaven, from the throne, saying, ‘It is done.’”
(Revelation 16:17–18, 20–21).
