Doctrine of C H R I S T versus Religious doctrines.
We
must never forget that the devil, aka Satan transformed himself into an angel
of light (2 Corinthians 11:14); and there are churches masquerading as houses
of God. These churches have signs and ensigns which range from a single eye,
obelisks, pyramids, black and white checkered floors and other known
representations that are readily seen today in church publications, online live
media, and on the inside and outside of buildings. For this reason, the Holy
Scriptures warned: “Keep thy foot when thou goest to the house of God, and be
more ready to hear, than to give the sacrifice of fools: for they consider not
that they do evil” (Ecclesiastes 5:1).
When
King Jesus was here on this earth he was asked about his doctrine.
“Jesus
answered them, and said, ‘My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me. If any
man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or
whether I speak of myself. He that speaketh of himself seeketh his own glory:
but he that seeketh his glory that sent him, the same is true, and no unrighteousness
is in him’” (John 7:16-18).
“Forasmuch
then as we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is
like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and man’s device. And the
times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men everywhere to
repent. Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world
in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given
assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead” (Acts 17:29-31).
“Whosoever
transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that
abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son” (2 John
1:9).
“For
I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto
salvation to everyone that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the
[Gentile]” (Romans 1:16).
