God
was, is and will be forever God (Psalm 148:13).
“I
AM the LORD thy God. Thou shalt have no other gods before me” (Exodus 20:2–3).
“For
the LORD thy God is a consuming fire, even a jealous God” (Deuteronomy
4:24).
“Before
the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the
world, even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God” (Psalm 90:2).
“Am
I a God at hand, saith the LORD, and not a God afar off?” (Jeremiah 23:23).
“Behold,
I am the LORD, the God of all flesh: is there anything too hard for me?”
(Jeremiah 32:27).
“God
hath spoken once; twice have I heard this; that power belongeth unto God”
(Psalm 62:11).
“Woe
unto him that striveth with his Maker” (Isaiah 45:9).
“For
the LORD is great, and greatly to be praised: he is to be feared above all
gods. For all the gods of the nations are idols: but the LORD made the heavens”
(Psalm 96:4–5).
Jesus,
the only begotten Son of God exemplified this very fact, said: “God saying, ‘I
am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. God is not
the God of the dead, but of the living’” (Matthew 22:32).
“This
then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God
is light, and in him is no darkness at all” (1 John 1:5).
“Humble
yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due
time: casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you” (1 Peter 5:6–7).
