CELESTIAL vesus Terrestrial.
“There
are also celestial bodies, and bodies terrestrial: but the glory of the
celestial is one, and the glory of the terrestrial is another. So also is the
resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in
incorruption. It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There
is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body” (1 Corinthians 15:40, 42,
44).
When
Jesus arose from the dead, he obtained a celestial body. At the end of time,
those who are rewarded with the gift of eternal light can die no more and will
become equal to the angels, being the children of God and the children of the
resurrection (Matthew 20:36).
“For
as the Father rises up the dead, and quickeneth them; even so the Son
quickeneth whom he will. For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all
judgment unto the Son” (John 5:21–22).
“And
so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was
made a quickening spirit” (1 Corinthians 15:45).
“Now
this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God;
neither doth corruption inherit incorruption. Behold, I shew you a mystery; We
shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, For this corruptible must put
on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality” (1 Corinthians
15:50-51, 53).
Jesus
is the only way to get to the New Heavens and a New earth where is the New
Jerusalem (John 5:21–22, 14:2–3). “And as we have borne the image of the
earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly” (1 Corinthians 15:47–49).
