How’s the day going?
-Not
so good.
-Could
be better.
-So
far, okay.
-Looking
for better days.
How
our day is going at this moment in time let us be reminded that the Apostle
Paul reminded us said: “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against
principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this
world, against spiritual wickedness in high places” (Ephesians 6:12). “For
rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil” (Romans 13:3).
“See
then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise; Redeeming the time,
because the days are evil. Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what
the will of the Lord is. And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be
filled with the Spirit; Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and
spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord; Giving
thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord
Jesus Christ” (Ephesians 5:15-20).
Our
Lord Jesus also says: “Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow
shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the
evil thereof” (Matthew 6:33-34).
“Therefore
take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or,
Wherewithal shall we be clothed? But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his
righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you” (Matthew 6:31).
“Love
your enemies, bless them that curse you, [DO GOOD TO THEM THAT HATE YOU], and
pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; that ye may be the
children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on
the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust. For
if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? Do not even the publicans
the same?” (Matthew 5:44-46).
“These
things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye
shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world” (John
16:33).
