“Never see Death”?
When
Jesus says: “Verily, verily, I say unto you, If a man keep my saying, he shall
[NEVER SEE DEATH] (John 8:51); this is to be taken literally.
Many
among us may not fully understand the POWER of GOD (John 3:16-18, 5:21-24, 6:63).
Now,
it is important to keep in mind that the Holy Scriptures says: “He that is our
God is the God of salvation; and [UNTO GOD THE LORD BELONG THE ISSUES FROM
DEATH]” (Psalm 68:19-20).
However,
the Apostle Paul well said: “For to me to live is Christ, and [TO DIE IS GAIN]”
(Philippians 1:21).
Those
who “die in Christ” are “crowned with life”.
Let
us remember that even though the body dies, the soul does not die.
Jesus
explained: “And ye shall be betrayed both by parents, and brethren, and
kinsfolks, and friends; and some of you shall they cause to be put to death.
And ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake. [BUT THERE SHALL NOT A
HAIR OF YOUR HEAD PERISH. IN YOUR PATIENCE POSSESS YE YOUR SOULS]” (Luke
21:16–19).
Read
again carefully, “…NOT A HAIR OF YOUR HEAD PERISH…”
“[AND
FEAR NOT THEM WHICH KILL THE BODY, BUT ARE NOT ABLE TO KILL THE SOUL]: but
rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell” (Matthew
10:28).
“There
is therefore now [NO CONDEMNATION] to them which are [IN CHRIST JESUS], [WHO
WALK] not after the flesh, but [AFTER THE SPIRIT]” (Romans 8:1).
Whether
we live or die, our souls are alive in Jesus Christ because Jesus says: “It is
the [SPIRIT THAT QUICKENETH]; the flesh profiteth nothing: [THE WORDS] that I
speak unto you, [THEY ARE SPIRIT, AND THEY ARE LIFE]” (John 6:63).
“Verily,
verily, I say unto you, He that [HEARETH MY WORD], and believeth on him that
sent me, hath everlasting life, and [SHALL NOT COME INTO CONDEMNATION; BUT IS
PASSED FROM DEATH UNTO LIFE]” (John 5:21-24).
We must
read carefully these words of our Lord Jesus when he says: “I am with you
alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen” (Matthew 28:20).
