PRESERVE BODY and SOUL unto the DAY OF CHRIST.
We
must give God thanks in the name of Jesus Christ for our very existence as
human beings because he is our Creator.
“And
the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his
nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul” Genesis 2:7).
Due
to the transgressions of the first man, Adam and women, Eve in the garden of
Eden, human beings were condemned to death. However, God sent his only begotten
Son, Jesus Christ to give human beings the promise of Eternal Life (John
3:16-18).
“Death
reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the
similitude of Adam’s transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come”
(Romans 5:14). “For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection
of the dead. For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive”
(1 Corinthians 15:21–22).
We
must preserve our body and soul to the End. “For ye are dead, and your life is
hid with Christ in God” (Colossians 3:2–3).
“And as it is appointed unto men once to die,
but after this the judgment” (Hebrews 9:27).
“For
we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may
receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it
be good or bad” (2 Corinthians 5:10).
“I
beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye [PRESENT YOUR
BODIES A LIVING SACRIFICE], holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable
service” (Romans 12:1).
“And
the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your [WHOLE SPIRIT
AND SOUL AND BODY BE PRESERVED BLAMELESS] unto the coming of our Lord Jesus
Christ” (1 Thessalonians 5:23).
“Now
the God of peace be with you all. Amen” (Romans 15:33).
