Believe in God? Believe in Jesus?
The
irony is that throughout the ages to this day, untold numbers of people
proclaim “I believe in God” or “I believe there is a God” and so on; yet, refuse
to believe in the only begotten Son of God, Jesus.
“[NO
MAN HATH SEEN GOD] at any time; [THE ONLY BEGOTTEN SON], which is in the bosom
of the Father, he hath declared him” (John 1:18).
How
can anyone believe in God or believe that there is a God who they have not seen?
If
anyone believes in God or there is God then logically speaking the same belief
must be in Jesus the only begotten Son of God because he is in the bosom of the
Father.
“For
there is [ONE GOD], and [ONE MEDIATOR BETWEEN GOD AND MEN], the man [CHRIST
JESUS]: who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time” (1
Timothy 2:5–6).
“For
God so loved the world, that he gave his [ONLY BEGOTTEN SON], that whosoever
[BELIEVETH IN HIM SHOULD] not perish, but [HAVE EVERLASTING LIFE]. For God sent
not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him
might be saved” (John 3:16-17).
“He
that [BELIEVETH ON HIM IS NOT CONDEMNED]: but he that [BELIEVETH NOT IS
CONDEMNED ALREADY], because he hath not believed in the name of the only
begotten Son of God” (John 3:18).
“The
Father loveth the Son, and hath given all things into his hand. He that [BELIEVETH
ON THE SON HATH EVERLASTING LIFE]: and he that [BELIEVETH NOT THE SON SHALL NOT
SEE LIFE]; but the wrath of God abideth on him” (John 3:35-36).
“For
the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and
unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness” (Romans 1:18).
“Jesus
Christ the same yesterday, and today, and forever” (Hebrews 13:8) says: “The time is fulfilled, and the Kingdom
of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel” (Mark 1:15).
“And
this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness
unto all nations; and then shall the end come” (Matthew 24:14).
“Except
ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish” (Luke 13:3).
“For
I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent
me” (John 6:38).
“LET
not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me” (John 14:1).
