F A I T H in GOD and JESUS CHRIST or Riches of the world?
Our lifetime
on this earth is filled with ups and downs, twists and turns and so on,
However, there is no escaping the the word of God: TRUTH (Luke 16:13) (John
3:16-18).
James,
the brother of Jesus asked: “Hath not God chosen the poor of this world rich in
faith, and heirs of the kingdom which he hath promised to them that love him?”
(James 2:5).
“Now
faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen”
(Hebrews 11:1).
James
also asked, “What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith,
and have not works? Can faith save him?” (James 2:14).
“Even
so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone” (James 2:17).
“Was
not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son
upon the altar? Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was
faith made perfect? And the Scripture was fulfilled which saith, ‘Abraham [BELIEVED]
God, and [IT WAS IMPUTED UNTO HIM FOR RIGHTEOUSNESS]: and he was called the
Friend of God.’ Ye see then how that by [WORKS A MAN IS JUSTIFIED], and not by
faith only” (James 2:21–24).
“Jesus
Christ the same yesterday, and today, and forever” (Hebrews 13:8) asks: “Nevertheless
when the Son of man cometh, shall he [FIND FAITH ON THE EARTH]?” (Luke 18:8).
“Not
every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of
heaven; but he that [DOETH THE WILL OF MY FATHER] which is in heaven” (Matthew
7:21).
When
Jesus was here on earth he was asked “What shall we do, that we might work the
works of God?” (John 6:28).
“Jesus
answered and said unto them, ‘[THIS IS THE WORK OF GOD], that ye [BELIEVE ON
HIM WHOM HE HATH SENT]’” (John 6:29).
“For
God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever [BELIEVETH
IN HIM SHOULD not perish, but have [EVERLASTING LIFE]. For God sent not his Son
into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be
saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is
condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only
begotten Son of God” (John 3:16-18).
