T I M E is AT HAND: “For surely there is an end” (Proverbs 23:18).
Every
day in this world, someone somewhere needs or requires to know the current
time. Time is seemingly in short supply evident from the constant rush to be on
time to meet a deadline, accomplish a task or goal or be someplace at a set
time.
We
just need to look around and almost at every turn someone is constantly looking
down at a smartphone immersed in content to pass the time in a day.
Do not
let time pass by to accomplish the greatest task of this lifetime: REPENT.
“For
God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that [WHOSOEVER
BELIEVETH IN HIM SHOULD NOT PERISH, BUT HAVE EVERLASTING LIFE]. For God sent
not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him
might be saved” (John 3:16-17).
“And
in the times of this ignorance God winked at but now [COMMANDETH ALL MEN
EVERYWHERE TO REPENT]. Because he hath [APPOINTED A DAY], in which he will
judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained” (Acts
17:30-31).
“But
what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that
is, the word of faith, which we preach; That if thou shalt confess with thy
mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him
from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto
righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation” (Romans
10:8-10).
“And
that, [KNOWING THE TIME, THAT NOW IT IS HIGH TIME] to awake out of sleep: for
now is our [SALVATION] nearer than when we believed. The night is far spent, [THE
DAY IS AT HAND]: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us
put on the armour of light” (Romans 13:11-12).
“Therefore
let us not sleep, as do others; but let us [WATCH AND BE SOBER]. For they that
sleep sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night.
But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith
and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation. [FOR GOD HATH NOT APPOINTED
US TO WRATH, BUT TO OBTAIN SALVATION BY OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST]” (1
Thessalonians 5:6-9).
