Godly versus ungodly.
“BLESSED
is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the
way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful” (Psalm 1:1).
“BLESSED
is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered” (Psalm 22:1).
“For
this shall every one that is godly pray unto thee in a time when thou mayest be
found: surely in the floods of great waters they shall not come nigh unto him”
(Psalm 22:6).
“I
acknowledged my sin unto thee, and mine iniquity have I not hid. I said, I will
confess my transgressions unto the LORD; and thou forgavest the iniquity of my
sin. Selah” (Psalm 22:5).
“The
ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away.
Therefore
the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of
the righteous.
For
the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall
perish” (Psalm 1:4-6).
