JESUS is the Good Shepherd:
“The
LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green
pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he
leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.
Yea,
though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil:
for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
Thou
preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my
head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
all the days of my life: and I will [DWELL[ in the [HOUSE] of the LORD [FOR
EVER]” (Psalm 23:1-6).
JESUS
says: “I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep”
(John 10:11).
“In
my Father’s [HOUSE] are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told
you. [I GO TO PREPARE A PLACE FOR YOU]. And if I go and prepare a place for
you, [I WILL COME AGAIN, AND RECEIVE YOU UNTO MYSELF; [THAT WHERE I AM, THERE
YE MAY BE ALSO]” (John 14:2-3).
“Fear
not, little flock; for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the
kingdom” (Luke 12:32).
“For
the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the
archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first,
then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the
clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and [SO SHALL WE EVER BE WITH] the Lord” (1
Thessalonians 4:16–17).
“Wherefore
comfort one another with these words” (1 Thessalonians 4:18).
