Keep in our heart these words of God:
“The
heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?”
(Jeremiah 17:9).
“An
unjust man is an abomination to the just: and he that is upright in the way is
abomination to the wicked” (Proverbs 29:27).
“Let
not thine heart envy sinners: but be thou in the fear of the LORD all the day
long” (Proverbs 23:17).
“Wisdom
is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get
understanding” (Proverbs 4:7).
“When
wisdom entereth into thine heart, and knowledge is pleasant unto thy soul” (Proverbs
2:10)
“A sound heart is the life of the flesh: but
envy the rottenness of the bones” (Proverbs 14:30).
“Keep
thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life” (Proverbs
4:23).
“Trust
in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own
understanding. In all thy ways
acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths” (Proverbs 3:5-6).
“Thy
word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path” (Psalm 119:105).
