HEAVENLY versus Earthly or CELESTIAL versus Terrestial.
“There
are also celestial bodies, and bodies terrestrial: but the glory of the
celestial is one, and the glory of the terrestrial is another. There is one
glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the
stars: for one star differeth from another star in glory” (1 Corinthians
15:40–41).
“Now
this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the Kingdom of God;
neither doth corruption inherit incorruption” (1 Corinthians 15:50).
“The
first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven. As
is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the heavenly, such
are they also that are heavenly. And as we have borne the image of the earthy,
we shall also bear the image of the heavenly. And so it is written, the first
man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit”
(1Corinthians 15:47–49, 45).
Jesus
says: “It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words
that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life” (John 6:63).
At
the end of the world, the Day of Judgment, the Last Day all those who are
rewarded with the gift of eternal light can die no more and will become equal
to the angels, being the children of God and the children of the resurrection
(Matthew 20:36).
“For
as the Father rises up the dead, and quickeneth them; even so the Son
quickeneth whom he will. For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all
judgment unto the Son” (John 5:21–22).
“Wherefore
God saith: ‘Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall
give thee light’” (Ephesians 5:14).
“Behold,
I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, For
this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on
immortality” (1 Corinthians 15:50-51, 53).
“In
a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the [LAST] trump: for the trumpet
shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be
changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must
put on immortality” (1 Corinthians 15:52–53).
“Therefore,
brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh. For if ye
live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the
deeds of the body, ye shall live” (Romans 8:12-13).
