“For
the righteous LORD loveth righteousness; his countenance doth behold the
upright” (Psalm 11:7).
“The
LORD liveth, in truth, in judgment, and in righteousness” (Jeremiah 4:2).
“Offer
the sacrifices of righteousness, and put your trust in the LORD: (Psalm 4:5).
“I
will praise the LORD according to his righteousness: and will sing praise to
the name of the LORD most high” (Psalm 7:17).
“For
the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all
generations” (Psalm 100:5).
“And
he shall judge the world in righteousness, he shall minister judgment to the
people in uprightness” (Psalm 9:8).
“Truth
shall spring out of the earth; and righteousness shall look down from heaven”
(Psalm 85:11).
“And
the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every
where to repent: Because he hath [APPOINTED A DAY], in the which he will [JUDGE
THE WORLD IN RIGHTEOUSNESS BY THAT MAN WHOM HE HATH ORDAINED]; whereof he hath
given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead” (Acts
17:30-31).
Jesus
made reference to this in speaking about the resurrection: “God saying, ‘I am
the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. God is not the
God of the dead, but of the living’” (Matthew 22:32).
“I
am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were
dead, yet shall he live. And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never
die. Believest thou this?” (John 11:25-27).
“For
as the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in
himself; and hath given him authority to execute judgment also, because he is
the Son of man” (John 5:26–27).
“No
man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will
raise him up at the last day” (John 6:44).
“I
am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen;
and have the keys of hell and of death” (Revelation 1:18).
