G O D versus money: Righteousness versus unrighteousness:
“Of old hast thou laid the foundation of the
earth: and the heavens are the work of thy hands. They shall perish, but thou
shalt endure: yea, all of them shall wax old like a garment; as a vesture shalt
thou change them, and they shall be changed. But thou art the same, and thy
years shall have no end” (Psalm 102:25-27).
“Before the mountains were brought forth, or
ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to
everlasting, thou art God” (Psalm 90:2).
Jesus says: “No servant can serve
two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he
will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon”
(Luke 16:13).
“And I say unto you, make to yourselves
friends of the mammon of unrighteousness; that, when ye fail, they may receive
you into everlasting habitations” (Luke 16:9).
“For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven
against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness”
(Romans 1:18).
“And with all deceivableness of
unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the
truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong
delusion, that they should believe a lie: that they all might be damned who
believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness” (2 Thessalonians
2:10–12).
“For
the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they
have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows” (1
Timothy 6:10).
