There is no fear in love.
Without a doubt, there are untold
numbers of people right now living in fear of the things that will come upon
this earth. So many are so fearful that they have found comfort in the doctrine
of the “rapture” believing that should they be alive they will escape the great
period of tribulation.
However, Jesus says: “And ye shall
be betrayed both by parents, and brethren, and kinsfolks, and friends; and some
of you shall they cause to be put to death. And ye shall be hated of all men
for my name’s sake. But there shall not a hair of your head perish. In your
patience possess ye your souls” (Luke 21:16–19).
“And fear
not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather
fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell” (Matthew 10:28).
“There is no fear in love; but
perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is
not made perfect in love” (1 John 4:18).
“Herein is love, not that we loved
God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our
sins” (1 John 4:10).
“Whosoever shall confess that Jesus
is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God. And we have known and
believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in
love dwelleth in God, and God in him” (1 John 4:15-16).
“Herein is our love made perfect,
that we may have boldness in the [DAY OF JUDGMENT]: because as he is, so are we
in this world” (1 John 4:17).
“For we must all appear before the
judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his
body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad” (2 Corinthians
5:10).
