Power is only of God
“God hath spoken once; twice have I
heard this; that power belongeth unto God” (Psalm 62:11).
“The Kingdom of God is not in word,
but in power; that your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the
power of God” (1 Corinthians 4:20, 2:5).
“For God so loved the world, that
he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not
perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to
condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that
believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned
already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of
God.” (John 3:16-18).
“This know also, that in the last
days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves,
covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful,
unholy, without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent,
fierce, despisers of those that are good, traitors, heady, highminded, lovers
of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying
the power thereof: from such turn away” (2 Timothy 3:1-5).
