God is Holy; God is Righteous; God is Love; God is Good; and is a God of Peace. God’s Elect must therefore seek to be Upright as God is Love, Peace, Righteous, Good, and Holy. “Because it is written, [BE YE HOLY; FOR I AM HOLY]” (1 Peter 1:16).
“GREAT is the LORD, and greatly to be praised
in the city of our God, in the mountain of his holiness” (Psalm 48:1).
“The LORD is [RIGHTEOUS IN ALL HIS WAYS, AND
HOLY IN ALL HIS WORKS]” (Psalm 145:17).
“For the [RIGHTEOUS] LORD loveth [RIGHTEOUSNESS];
his countenance doth behold the [UPRIGHT]” (Psalm 11:7).
“The highway of the [UPRIGHT IS TO DEPART FROM
EVIL]: he that keepeth his way preserveth his soul” (Proverbs 16:17).
“For the [RIGHTEOUS] LORD [LOVETH
RIGHTEOUSNESS]; his countenance doth behold the upright” (Psalm 11:7).
“Depart from evil, and [DO GOOD; AND DWELL FOR
EVERMORE]” (Psalms 37:27).
“The LORD knoweth [THE DAYS OF THE UPRIGHT:
AND THEIR INHERITANCE SHALL BE FOR EVER]” (Psalm 37:18).
“THE LORD reigneth, he is clothed with
majesty; the LORD is clothed with strength, wherewith he hath girded himself:
the world also is stablished, that it cannot be moved.
Thy throne is established of old: thou art
from everlasting.
