“[SEEK] the LORD and his strength, [SEEK HIS FACE CONTINUALLY]” (1 Chronicles 16:11).
Let us remind ourselves of these words spoken
by King David to his son King Solomon:
“And thou, Solomon my son, know thou the God
of thy father, and serve him with a perfect heart and with a willing mind: for
the LORD searcheth all hearts, and understandeth all the imaginations of the
thoughts: [IF THOU SEEK HIM, HE WILL BE FOUND OF THEE; BUT IF THOU FORSAKE HIM,
HE WILL CAST THEE OFF FOR EVER]” (1 Chronicles 28:9).
“[SEEK] ye the LORD [WHILE HE MAY BE FOUND,
CALL YE UPON HIM WHILE HE IS NEAR]” (Isaiah 55:6).
“[I LOVE THEM THAT LOVE ME]; and those that
seek me early shall find me” (Proverbs 8:17).
“[FOR WHOSO FINDETH ME FINDETH LIFE, AND]
shall obtain favor of the LORD. But he that sinneth against me wrongeth his own
soul: [ALL THEY THAT HATE ME LOVE DEATH]” (Proverbs 8:35-36).
“[WOE UNTO HIM THAT STRIVETH WITH HIS MAKER]”
(Isaiah 45:9).
“[FOR HE IS THE LIVING GOD, AND STEDFAST FOR
EVER, AND HIS KINGDOM THAT WHICH SHALL NOT BE DESTROYED, AND HIS DOMINION SHALL
BE EVEN UNTO THE END]” (Daniel 6:26).
“The LORD hath prepared his throne in the
heavens; and his kingdom ruleth over all” (Psalm 103:19).
“[FOR SINCE THE BEGINNING OF THE WORLD MEN
HAVE NOT HEARD, NOR PERCEIVED BY THE EAR, NEITHER HATH THE EYE SEEN], O God,
beside thee, what [HE HATH PREPARED FOR HIM THAT WAITETH FOR HIM]” (Isaiah
64:4).
“It is good that a man should [BOTH HOPE AND
QUIETLY WAIT] for the [SALVATION] of the LORD” (Lamentation 3:26).
“[OUR SOUL WAITETH] for the LORD: he is our
help and our shield” (Psalm 33:20).
“The LORD liveth; and [BLESSED BE MY ROCK];
and exalted be the God of the [ROCK OF MY SALVATION]” (a Samuel 22:47).
“Blessed be the LORD, [WHO DAILY LOADETH US
WITH BENEFITS], even the [GOD OF OUR SALVATION]. Selah” (Psalm 68:19).
“Blessed be the LORD God of Israel from [EVERLASTING
TO EVERLASTING]: and let all the people say, Amen. Praise ye the LORD” (Psalm
106:48).
