We are Children of God (Romans 8:16-18) | Children of Light (Ephesians 5:6-8).
“This
then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that [GOD
IS LIGHT], and in him is no darkness at all” ((1 John 1:5).
“Every
good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the [FATHER
OF LIGHTS], with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning” (James
1:17).
“For
thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy;
I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and
humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of
the contrite ones” (Isaiah 57:15).
Jesus,
the only begotten Son of God, who is “…of a contrite and humble spirit…” says:
“Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children,
ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven. Whosoever therefore shall humble
himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven”
(Matthew 18:3-4).
Jesus
taught us to pray to God, our Father saying: “Our Father which art in heaven,
Hallowed be thy name. Thy Kingdom come.
Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily
bread. And forgive us our debts, as we
forgive our debtors. And lead us not
into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the
power, and the glory, for ever. Amen” (Matthew 6:9-13).
