LOVE G O D.
Lovers
of God or Lovers of pleasures of this world?
To
Love God is to love Jesus Christ is to live in hope and faith for Salvation (Matthew
25:31-34) (John 3:16) (Revelation 2:11).
To
love pleasures is to love the things of this world which will lead to the
Second Death: Everlasting Punishment (Mathew 25:41-46) (Revelation 20:12–15).
“This
know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be
lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient
to parents, unthankful, unholy, without natural affection, trucebreakers, false
accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, traitors, heady,
highminded, [LOVERS OF PLEASURES MORE THAN LOVERS OF GOD]; having a form of
godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away” (2 Timothy
3:1–5).
“Love
not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the
world, the love of the Father is not in him” (1 John 2:15).
“For
the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God” (1 Corinthians 3:19).
“For
all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and
the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. And the world
passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth
for ever” (1 John 2:16-17).
To
Love God is to Love the word of God is to believe in the Word of God; the only
begotten Son of God to inherit Eternal Life (Matthew 25:31-34) (John 3:16)
(Revelation 2:11).
“Forever,
O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven” (Psalm 119:89).
