Salvation
It
is pointless and a waste of a lifetime for anyone to strive against God: the
Creator (Isaiah 45:5, 9). God cannot be misled and requires that every human
being come to repentance and remission of sins. “For this is good and
acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; who will have all men to be saved,
and to come unto the knowledge of the truth” (1 Timothy 2:3-4).
“But
what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that
is, the word of faith, which we preach; That if thou shalt confess with thy
mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him
from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto
righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation” (Romans
10:8-10).
“Let
every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God:
the powers that be are ordained of God. Whosoever therefore resisteth the power,
resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to
themselves damnation” (Romans 13:1–2).
