Dust!
Dust
and dirt: two (2) words that every human being must remind themselves of every
day. Why?
“Know
ye that the LORD he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves”
(Psalm 100:3). “And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and
breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul”
(Genesis 2:7).
“For
God seeth that wise men die, likewise the fool and the brutish person perish,
and leave their wealth to others. Their inward thought is, that their houses
shall continue forever, and their dwelling places to all generations; they call
their lands after their own names. Nevertheless man being in honor abideth not:
he is like the beasts that perish” (Psalm 49:10–12).
“Blessed
be the LORD, who daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation.
Selah. He that is our God is the God of salvation; and unto God the LORD belong
the issues from death” (Psalm 68:19-20).
“And
as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment” (Hebrews
9:27). “For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every
one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done,
whether it be good or bad” (2 Corinthians 5:10).
