Day and Night
“IN the beginning God created the heaven and
the earth.
And the earth was without form, and void; and
darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the
face of the waters. And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
And God saw the light, that it was good: and
God divided the light from the darkness.
And God called the light Day, and the
darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day”
(Genesis 1:1-5).
Jesus, God’s only begotten Son said: “Are
there not twelve hours in the day?” If
any man walk in the day, he stumbleth not, because he seeth the light of this
world. But if a man walk in the night, he stumbleth, because there is no light
in him” (John 11:9-10).
