GOOD FRIDAY: The day the Only Begotten Son of God, Jesus Christ sacrificed his Life for the SINS of the world. ALL human beings would be wise to do as God commanded: REPENT of your SINS (Acts 17:30-31) (1 John 3:23).
On the day that our Lord, Savior and King was crucified, he endured unimaginable things at the hands of the roman soldiers who mocked, scourge and spit on him (Mark 10:24).
“And the soldiers led him away into the hall,
called Prætorium; and they call together the whole band. And they clothed him
with purple, and platted a crown of thorns, and put it about his head, And
began to salute him, Hail, King of the Jews!
And they smote him on the head with a reed,
and did spit upon him, and bowing their knees worshipped him. And when they had
mocked him, they took off the purple from him, and put his own clothes on him,
and led him out to crucify him” (Mark 15:16-20).
Every human alive on today would be wise to
come to REPENTANCE of sins and accept Jesus Christ as Lord, Savior and King.
The prophet Isaiah foretold of the day of Jesus’ crucifixion when he said:
“I gave my back to the smiters, and my cheeks
to them that plucked off the hair: I hid not my face from shame and spitting”
(Isaiah 50:6).
“Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today,
and forever” (Hebrews 13:8), says: “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of
God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel” (Mark 1:15).
“Except ye repent, ye shall all likewise
perish” (Luke 13:3). “For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but
the will of him that sent me” (John 6:38).
How to repent?
“But what saith it? The word is nigh thee,
even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we
preach; That if
believe in thine heart that God hath raised
him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness;
and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation” (Romans 10:8-10).
“Work out your own [SALVATION] with fear and
trembling that ye may approve things that are excellent; that ye may be sincere
and without offence till the [DAY OF CHRIST]” (Philippians 2:12, 1:10).
“And in the times of this ignorance God winked
at but now commandeth all men everywhere to repent. Because he hath [APPOINTED
A DAY], in which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he
hath ordained” (Acts 17:30-31).
“[THE LORD IS NOT SLACK CONCERNING HIS
PROMISE], as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not
willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance” (2
Peter 3:9).
Jesus says: “The time is fulfilled, and the
kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel” (Mark 1:15).
“Except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish” (Luke 13:3). “For I came down
from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me” (John
6:38).
“I am he that liveth, and was dead; and,
behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death”
(Revelation 1:18).
“Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking
for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto [ETERNAL LIFE]” (Jude 1:21).
“And the very God of peace sanctify you
wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved
blameless unto the [COMING] of our Lord Jesus Christ” (1 Thessalonians 5:23).
“Now the God of peace be with you all. Amen”
(Romans 15:33).
