END OF WORLD CELEBRATIONS? LEAP FOR JOY or weeping and gnashing of teeth?

Every year that passes by on this earth, there are celebrations around the world. These celebrations come with spectacular fireworks over major cities that are intended to awe struck the viewers. There is a sense of elation and joy when the count down clock starts towards midnight, and the fireworks begin, and just when one believes it is over, there is a thunderous chain of fireworks to bring the celebrations to a resounding end with shouts of joy and clapping by the viewers.

Surely, there is nothing wrong in celebrating the passing of the old year and welcoming the new year.

However, the year is coming, and it is soon coming when it will be the last new years celebrations, and we must all ask ourselves whether we are prepared for the End of Time celebrations at the End of the world?

This question may be puzzling or even perplexing to many people but, to us believers and followers of Jesus Christ it is not a question that we take lightly because our Lord, Savior and King Jesus foretold saying: “Verily I say unto you, There be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom” (Matthew 16:28).

“The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should [COME TO REPENTANCE]” (2 Peter 3:9).

As believers and followers of Jesus Christ we pray and live in hope and faith for our redemption is coming on that day because Jesus says: “[REJOICE YE IN THAT DAY, AND LEAP FOR JOY]: for, behold, your reward is great in heaven: for in the like manner did their fathers unto the prophets” (Luke 6:23).

On the other hand, on that day, Jesus expressed of those who reject him saying: “There shall be [WEEPING AND GNASHING OF TEETH], when ye shall see Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, and all the prophets, in the Kingdom of God, and you yourselves thrust out” (Luke 13:28). “And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be [WEEPING AND GNASHING OF TEETH]” (Matthew 25:30).

For those among us who are not prepared for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ at end of the world on the Last Day, be wise and come to knowledge of the truth because the ONLY fireworks on that day will be fire and brimstone coming down from heaven that will bring the habitation of life on this earth to an END (Revelation 20:13-15)!

“Alas for the day! for the day of the LORD is at hand, and as a destruction from the Almighty shall it come” (Joel 1:15).

“Nevertheless we, according to [HIS PROMISE, LOOK FOR NEW HEAVENS AND A NEW EARTH], wherein dwelleth righteousness” (2 Peter 3:13).
