God alone is of HIS EXCELLENCY because he alone is God! “O LORD our Lord, how [EXCELLENT IS THY NAME] in all the earth! who hast set thy glory above the heavens” (Psalm 8:1).
“GREAT is the LORD, and greatly to be praised in the city of our God, in the mountain of his holiness. Beautiful for situation, the joy of the whole earth, is mount Zion, on the sides of the north, the city of the great King” (Psalm 48:1-2).
“There is none like unto the God of Jeshurun,
who rideth upon the heaven in thy help, and in [HIS EXCELLENCY] on the sky” (Deuteronomy
33:26).
“Touching the Almighty, we cannot find him
out: he is [EXCELLENT IN POWER, AND IN JUDGMENT], and in plenty of justice: he
will not afflict. Men do therefore fear him: he respecteth not any that are
wise of heart” (Job 37:23-24).
“This also cometh forth from the LORD of
hosts, which is wonderful in counsel, and [EXCELLENT] in working” (Isaiah
28:29).
“Dost thou know the balancings of the clouds,
the wondrous works of him which is [PERFECT IN KNOWLEDGE]?” (Job 37:16).

praises with understanding. God reigneth over the heathen: God sitteth upon the

the people of the God of Abraham: for the shields of the earth belong unto God:

“Let them praise the [NAME] of the LORD: for [HIS
NAME ALONE IS EXCELLENT]; his glory is above the earth and heaven” (Psalm
148:13).
“O LORD our Lord, how excellent is thy name in

“PRAISE ye the LORD. Praise God in his
sanctuary: praise him in the firmament of his power.
Praise him for his mighty acts: praise him
according to his excellent greatness.
Let every thing that hath breath praise the
LORD. Praise ye the LORD” (Psalm 150:1-2; 6).
“[THOU ART MY GOD], and I will praise thee:
thou art my God, I will exalt thee. O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is
good: for his mercy endureth for ever” (Psalm 118:28-29).
