Our Lord Jesus reminds us that we should not be concern about tomorrow but only for today because the days are evil (Ephesians 5:15).
JESUS says: “[TAKE THEREFORE NO THOUGHT FOR THE MORROW]: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. [SUFFICIENT UNTO THE DAY] is the evil thereof” (Matthew 6:34).
“Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall
we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? But [SEEK
YE FIRST THE KINGDOM OF GOD, AND HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS; AND ALL THESE THINGS SHALL
BE ADDED UNTO YOU]” (Matthew 6:31, 33).
The Apostle Paul said: “See then that ye walk
circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise; Redeeming the time, because the days
are evil” (Ephesians 5:15).
“Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne
of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need”
(Hebrews 4:14-16).
“And [WE KNOW THAT ALL THINGS WORK TOGETHER
FOR GOOD TO THEM THAT LOVE GOD], to them who are the called according to his
purpose” (Romans 8:28).
“[REJOICE EVERMORE. PRAY WITHOUT CEASING]. In
every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning
you” (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18).
“[REJOICE IN THE LORD ALWAY: AND AGAIN I SAY,
REJOICE].
Let your moderation be known unto all men. The
Lord is at hand.
[BE CAREFUL FOR NOTHING; BUT IN EVERY THING BY
PRAYER AND SUPPLICATION WITH THANKSGIVING LET YOUR REQUESTS BE MADE KNOWN UNTO
GOD].
And the peace of God, which passeth all
understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true,
whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are
pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if
there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things”
(Philippians 4:4-8).
“Now the [GOD OF PEACE] be with you all. Amen”
(Romans 15:33).
