JESUS is our Shepherd.
Jesus says: “[BEWARE OF FALSE PROPHETS, WHICH COME TO YOU IN SHEEP’S
CLOTHING, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. Ye shall know them by their
fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? Wherefore by their
fruits ye shall know them” (Matthew 7:15-16, 20).
“[MY SHEEP HEAR MY VOICE, AND I KNOW THEM, AND THEY FOLLOW ME: AND I GIVE UNTO THEM ETERNAL LIFE]; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand. I and my Father are one” (John 10:27-30).
“[FEAR NOT, LITTLE FLOCK]; for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom” (Luke 12:32).
“For ye were as sheep going astray; but are now returned unto the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls. [AND WHEN THE CHIEF SHEPHERD SHALL APPEAR, YE SHALL RECEIVE A CROWN OF GLORY THAT FADETH NOT AWAY]” (1 Peter 2:25, 5:4).
“[WOE UNTO THE PASTORS THAT DESTROY AND SCATTER THE SHEEP OF MY PASTURE]! Saith the LORD. Behold, I am against the prophets, saith the LORD, that use their tongues, and say, ‘he saith’” (Jeremiah 23:1, 31).
“The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in
green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
[HE RESTORETH MY SOUL: HE LEADETH ME IN THE PATHS OF RIGHTEOUSNESS FOR HIS NAME’S SAKE]. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. [SURELY GOODNESS AND MERCY SHALL FOLLOW ME ALL THE DAYS OF MY LIFE]: and [I WILL DWELL IN THE HOUSE OF THE LORD FOR EVER]” (Psalm 23:1-6).
