Preaching of the CROSS or Prosperity Preaching?
“NOW the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall
depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and [DOCTRINES OF
DEVILS]. Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot
iron” (1 Timothy 4:1-2).
Our Lord Jesus says: “[BEWARE OF FALSE PROPHETS], which come to you in
sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or
figs of thistles? [WHEREFORE BY THEIR FRUITS YE SHALL KNOW THEM]” (Matthew
7:15-16, 20).
“[NO SERVANT CAN SERVE TWO MASTERS]: for either he will hate the one,
and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. [YE
CANNOT SERVE GOD AND MAMMON]” (Luke 16:13).
“Then said Jesus unto his disciples, ‘[VERILY I SAY UNTO YOU, THAT A
RICH MAN SHALL HARDLY ENTER INTO THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN]’. And again I say unto
you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a
rich man to enter into the kingdom of God” (Matthew 19:23-24).
“BELOVED, [BELIEVE NOT EVERY SPIRIT, BUT TRY THE SPIRITS WHETHER THEY
ARE OF GOD]: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. Hereby
know ye the Spirit of God: [EVERY SPIRIT THAT CONFESSETH THAT JESUS CHRIST IS
COME IN THE FLESH IS OF GOD]: And [EVERY SPIRIT THAT CONFESSETH NOT THAT JESUS
CHRIST IS COME IN THE FLESH IS NOT OF GOD: AND THIS IS THAT SPIRIT OF
ANTICHRIST], whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is
it in the world” (1 John 4:1-3).
“For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that
Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist” (2
John 1:7).
“[FOR SUCH ARE FALSE APOSTLES, DECEITFUL WORKERS, TRANSFORMING
THEMSELVES INTO THE APOSTLES OF CHRIST]. And no marvel; for Satan himself is
transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his
ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; [WHOSE END
SHALL BE ACCORDING TO THEIR WORKS]” (2 Corinthians 11:13-15).
“[TAKE HEED, AND BEWARE OF COVETOUSNESS]: for [A MAN’S LIFE CONSISTETH
NOT IN THE ABUNDANCE OF THE THINGS] which he possesseth” (Luke 12:15).
“Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we
drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? But seek ye first the kingdom of
God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you”
(Matthew 6:31).
“For ye are all the children of God by [FAITH IN CHRIST JESUS]”
(Galatians 3:24). “For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish
foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the [POWER OF GOD]” (1
Corinthians 1:19).
“The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen” (Romans
16:24).
