DAY OF CHRIST is the LAST DAY which is the DAY OF JUDGMENT.
“FOR WE MUST ALL APPEAR BEFORE THE JUDGMENT SEAT OF CHRIST]; that every
one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done,
whether it be good or bad” (2 Corinthians 5:10).
Jesus warned when he was here on earth said: ‘Verily I say unto you,
that there be some of them that stand here, which shall not taste of death,
till they have seen the Kingdom of God come with power’” (Mark 9:1). “There
will be weeping and gnashing of teeth” (Matthew 8:12).
Verily, verily, I say unto you, [THE HOUR IS COMING, AND NOW IS, WHEN
THE DEAD SHALL HEAR THE VOICE OF THE SON OF GOD: AND THEY THAT HEAR SHALL
LIVE].
For as the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to
have life in himself; And hath given him authority to execute judgment also,
because he is the Son of man. Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in
the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice, And shall come forth;
they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have
done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.
I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment
is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which
hath sent me” (John 5:21-30).
“NOW we beseech you, brethren, by the [COMING OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST],
and by [OUR GATHERING TOGETHER UNTO HIM], That ye be not soon shaken in mind,
or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as
that [THE DAY OF CHRIST IS AT HAND].
But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved
of the Lord, because [GOD HATH FROM THE BEGINNING CHOSEN YOU TO SALVATION]
through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth:
Whereunto he called you by our gospel, [TO THE OBTAINING OF THE GLORY OF
OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST].
Therefore, brethren, [STAND FAST, AND HOLD THE TRADITIONS WHICH YE HAVE
BEEN TAUGHT], whether by word, or our epistle” (2 Thessalonians 2:1-2, 14-15).
“[TAKE
HEED, BRETHREN, LEST THERE BE IN ANY OF YOU AN EVIL HEART OF UNBELIEF], in
departing from the living God. But exhort one another [DAILY], while it is
called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.
For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence
stedfast [UNTO THE END]” (Hebrews 3:12-14).
