How much do you love this world?
The word of God says:
“Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world” (1 John
2:15).
“For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God” (1 Corinthians
3:19).
“[IF ANY MAN LOVES THE WORLD, THE LOVE OF THE FATHER IS NOT IN HIM]. For
all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and
the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. And the world
passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth
forever” (1 John 2:15–17).
“And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the
renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and
perfect, will of God” (Romans 12:2).
To love the word of God is to desire to live forever because Jesus says:
“Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away” (Matthew
24:35).
“For ever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven” (Psalm 119:89).
Especially in this present time, we are to be watchful in all things to
keep at the forefront of our daily lives the love of the word of God and not
the love of this world (Luke 4:4).
