The HEART of the matter of a lifetime of humans on this earth: “[THE HEART IS DECEITFUL ABOVE ALL THINGS], and desperately wicked: who can know it?” (Jeremiah 17:9).
“[KEEP THY HEART WITH ALL DILIGENCE]; for out of it are the issues of life” (Proverbs 4:23).
A HEALTHY HEART is the key to a healthy
physical life.
“[A SOUND HEART IS THE LIFE OF THE FLESH]: but
envy the rottenness of the bones” (Proverbs 14:30).
A PURE HEART is the key to a pure spiritual
life.
“I the LORD search the [HEART], I try the
reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit
of his doings” (Jeremiah 17:10).
“[IF RICHES INCREASE], set not your [HEART]
upon them” (Psalm 62:9–10).
“[BUT LAY UP FOR YOURSELVES TREASURES IN
HEAVEN], where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not
break through nor steal: [FOR WHERE YOUR TREASURE IS, THERE WILL YOUR HEART BE
ALSO]” (Matthew 6:20-21).
“[TRUST] in the LORD with all thine [HEART];
and lean not unto thine own understanding.
In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths”
(Proverbs 3:5-6).
“The statutes of the LORD are right,
[REJOICING THE HEART]: the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the
eyes. The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the
LORD are true and righteous altogether” (Psalm 19:8-9).
