What does it mean to have life? Does it mean that to have life is to have an abundance of riches and possessions in this world? “[MAN IS LIKE TO VANITY]: his days are as a shadow that passeth away” (Psalm 144:4).

“For who knoweth what is good for man in this life, [ALL THE DAYS OF HIS VAIN LIFE] which he spendeth as a shadow? For who can tell a man what shall be after him under the sun?” (Ecclesiastes 6:12).

“The words of the Preacher, the son of David, king in Jerusalem. Vanity of vanities, saith the Preacher, [VANITY OF VANITIES; ALL IS VANITY]” (Ecclesiastes 1:1-2).

“What [PROFIT] hath a man of all his labour which he taketh under the sun?” (Ecclesiastes 1:3).

We must to ask ourselves, what PROFIT will there be in the End of Time to have had wealth, riches, and possessions just for an age in time?

To have LIFE is to have JESUS CHRIST! “[FOR YE ARE DEAD, AND YOUR LIFE IS HID WITH CHRIST IN GOD]” (Colossians 3:2–3), said the Apostle Paul.

Our Lord Jesus Christ says: “TAKE HEED, AND BEWARE OF COVETOUSNESS: for a man’s life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth” (Luke 12:15).

To have LIFE is to REPENT OF SINS AND BELIEVE IN JESUS CHRIST! “That whosoever [BELIEVETH IN HIM SHOULD] not perish, but [HAVE ETERNAL LIFE]” (John 3:15).

“For God so loved the world, that [HE GAVE HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON], that whosoever [BELIEVETH IN HIM SHOULD] not perish, but [HAVE EVERLASTING LIFE] (John 3:16).

Our Lord Jesus warned said: “Let the cares of this world, and the [DECEITFULNESS OF RICHES], and the lusts of other things [ENTERING IN, CHOKE] the word [AND IT BECOMETH UNFRUITFUL]” (Mark 4:19).

“Search the Scriptures; for in them ye think ye have [ETERNAL LIFE]: and they are they which testify of me. And ye will not [COME TO ME, THAT YE MIGHT HAVE LIFE]” (John 5:39–40).

“Therefore doth my Father love me, because [I LAY DOWN MY LIFE, THAT I MIGHT TAKE IT AGAIN]. No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. [I HAVE POWER TO LAY IT DOWN, AND I HAVE POWER TO TAKE IT AGAIN]. This commandment have I received of my Father” (John 10:17-18).

“I am the resurrection, and the life: [HE THAT BELIEVETH IN ME, THOUGH HE WERE DEAD, YET SHALL HE LIVE]. And [WHOSOEVER LIVETH AND BELIEVETH IN ME SHALL NEVER DIE]. [BELIEVEST THOU THIS]?” (John 11:25-26).

“Verily, verily, I say unto you, [IF A MAN KEEP MY SAYING, HE SHALL NEVER SEE DEATH] (John 8:51). 

“[I AM HE THAT LIVETH, AND WAS DEAD; AND, BEHOLD, I AM ALIVE FOR EVERMORE], Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death” (Revelation 1:18).
