STATUS? Single, Widow, Widower or Married? Whatever our status, if NOT MARRIED, let us be reminded of these words spoken by the Apostle Paul who said: “[IF THEY CANNOT CONTAIN, LET THEM MARRY: FOR IT IS BETTER TO MARRY THAN TO BURN]” (1 Corinthians 7:8-9).
“Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to [FORNICATION], and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, [SUFFERING THE VENGEANCE OF ETERNAL FIRE]” (Jude 1:7).
“[NOW THE BODY IS NOT FOR FORNICATION], but for the Lord; and the Lord for the body. Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body” (1 Corinthians 6:13).
“Nevertheless, to avoid fornication, let [EVERY MAN HAVE HIS OWN WIFE], and let [EVERY WOMAN HAVE HER OWN HUSBAND]” (1 Corinthians 7:2).
“Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the [SPIRIT OF GOD] dwelleth in you? If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are” (1 Corinthians 3:16–17).
“Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that [JESUS CHRIST IS IN YOU]?” (2 Corinthians 13:5).
“[SO THEN THEY THAT ARE IN THE FLESH CANNOT PLEASE GOD]. But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. [NOW IF ANY MAN HAVE NOT THE SPIRIT OF CHRIST, HE IS NONE OF HIS]. And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness” (Romans 8:8-10).
“Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh. For [IF YE LIVE AFTER THE FLESH, YE SHALL DIE]: but [IF YE THROUGH THE SPIRIT] do mortify the deeds of the body, [YE SHALL LIVE]” (Romans 8:12-13).
The Apostle Paul further articulated, saying: “Now the works of the [FLESH] are manifest, which are these; [ADULTERY, FORNICATION], uncleanness, lasciviousness, idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the Kingdom of God” (Galatians 5:19–21).
“But the fruit of the [SPIRIT] is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith” (Galatians 5:22).
“There is therefore now [NO CONDEMNATION TO THEM WHICH ARE IN CHRIST JESUS, WHO WALK] not after the flesh, but after [THE SPIRIT]” (Romans 8:1).
“Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to [THE SPIRIT SHALL OF THE SPIRIT REAP LIFE EVERLASTING]” (Galatians 6:7–8).
“For [WE MUST ALL APPEAR] before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad” (2 Corinthians 5:10).
“[WHO WILL RENDER TO EVERY MAN ACCORDING TO HIS DEEDS]:
To [THEM WHO BY PATIENT CONTINUANCE IN WELL DOING SEEK] for glory and honour and immortality, [ETERNAL LIFE]:
But unto [THEM THAT ARE CONTENTIOUS, AND DO NOT OBEY THE TRUTH], but [OBEY UNRIGHTEOUSNESS, INDIGNATION AND WRATH], Tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that doeth evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Gentile;
But glory, honour, and peace, to every man that worketh good, to the Jew first, and also to the Gentile: For there is no respect of persons with God” (Romans 2:6-11).
“[FOR THE WAGES OF SIN IS DEATH; BUT THE GIFT OF GOD IS ETERNAL LIFE THROUGH JESUS CHRIST] our Lord” (Romans 6:23).
“And the very [GOD OF PEACE] sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your [WHOLE SPIRIT AND SOUL AND BODY BE PRESERVED BLAMELESS] unto the [COMING] of our Lord Jesus Christ” (1 Thessalonians 5:23).
“For, behold, the day cometh that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the LORD of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch” (Malachi 4:1).
“The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with you all. Amen” (2 Corinthians 13:14).
