JESUS says: “Search the Scriptures; for in them ye think ye have [ETERNAL LIFE]: and they are they which testify of me. And ye will not [COME TO ME, THAT YE MIGHT HAVE LIFE]” (John 5:39–40).
“TAKE HEED, AND BEWARE OF COVETOUSNESS: for a
man’s life [CONSISTETH NOT] in the abundance of the things which he possesseth”
(Luke 12:15).
“For what is a man [PROFITED], if he shall [GAIN THE WHOLE WORLD, AND LOSE HIS OWN SOUL]? Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?”
Our Lord Jesus also expressed that we must not
“Let the cares of this world, and the [DECEITFULNESS OF RICHES], and the lusts
of other things [ENTERING IN, CHOKE] the word [AND IT BECOMETH UNFRUITFUL]”
(Mark 4:19).
“It is written, that man shall not live by
bread alone, but by every word of God” (Luke 4:4)
“[BLESSED ARE THEY THAT HEAR THE WORD] of God,
and keep it” (Luke 11:28).
The Apostle Paul said: “[BUT IF OUR GOSPEL BE
HID, IT IS HID TO THEM THAT ARE LOST]:
In whom the god of this world hath blinded the
minds of them which believe not, [LEST THE LIGHT OF THE GLORIOUS GOSPEL OF
CHRIST, WHO IS THE IMAGE OF GOD, SHOULD SHINE UNTO THEM].
For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus
the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus’ sake.
[FOR GOD, WHO COMMANDED THE LIGHT TO SHINE OUT
OF DARKNESS], hath shined in our hearts, [TO GIVE THE LIGHT OF THE KNOWLEDGE OF
THE GLORY OF GOD IN THE FACE OF JESUS CHRIST]” (2 Corinthians 4:3-6).
“Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of
you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God. But exhort one
another [DAILY], while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through
the deceitfulness of sin. For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the
beginning of our confidence stedfast [UNTO THE END]” (Hebrews 3:12-14).
“Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but
let us watch and be sober. For they that sleep sleep in the night; and they
that be drunken are drunken in the night. But let us, who are of the day, be
sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the
hope of salvation. For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to [OBTAIN
SALVATION BY OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST]” (1 Thessalonians 5:6-9).
“The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with
you all. Amen” (Philippians 4:23).
