Deceitfulness of SIN. “[IF WE CONFESS OUR SINS], he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness” (1 John 1:9).
“For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins” (Hebrews 10:26).
“[FOR BY GRACE ARE YE SAVED THROUGH FAITH];
and that not of yourselves: [IT IS THE GIFT OF GOD]: Not of works, lest any man
should boast” (Ephesians 2:8-9).
“[WOE UNTO THEM THAT CALL EVIL GOOD AND GOOD
EVIL]; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for
sweet, and sweet for bitter” (Isaiah 5:20).
“There is therefore now [NO CONDEMNATION TO
THEM WHICH ARE IN CHRIST JESUS, WHO WALK] not after the flesh, but [AFTER THE
SPIRIT]” (Romans 8:1).
“[BE NOT DECEIVED]; God is not mocked: for
whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap” (Galatians 6:7).
“For [HE THAT SOWETH TO HIS FLESH SHALL OF THE
FLESH REAP CORRUPTION]; but [HE THAT SOWETH TO THE SPIRIT SHALL OF THE SPIRIT
REAP LIFE EVERLASTING]” (Galatians 6:8).
The Apostle Paul further expressed said: “Now
the [WORKS OF THE FLESH] are manifest, which [ARE THESE]; adultery,
fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, idolatry, [WITCHCRAFT], hatred,
variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, envyings, murders,
drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I
have also told you in time past, that [THEY WHICH DO SUCH THINGS SHALL NOT
INHERIT] the Kingdom of God” (Galatians 5:19–21).
“But the [FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT IS LOVE, JOY,
PEACE, LONGSUFFERING, GENTLENESS, GOODNESS, FAITH]” (Galatians 5:22).
“[SO THEN THEY THAT ARE IN THE FLESH CANNOT
PLEASE GOD]. But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the
Spirit of God dwell in you. [NOW IF ANY MAN HAVE NOT THE SPIRIT OF CHRIST, HE
IS NONE OF HIS]. And if Christ be in
you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of
righteousness” (Romans 8:8-10).
“Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to
the flesh, to live after the flesh. For [IF YE LIVE AFTER THE FLESH, YE SHALL
DIE]: but if ye through [THE SPIRIT DO MORTIFY THE DEEDS OF THE BODY, YE SHALL
LIVE]” (Romans 8:12-13).
“Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of
you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God. But exhort one
another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through
the [DECEITFULNESS OF SIN]. For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the
beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end” (Hebrews 3:12-14).
“Now the body is not for fornication, but for
the Lord; and the Lord for the body. Flee fornication. Every sin that a man
doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against
his own body” (1 Corinthians 6:13).
“Nevertheless, to avoid fornication, let every
man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband” (1 Corinthians
7:2). Paul, the apostle also wrote about the unmarried and widows, said: “If
they cannot contain, let them marry: for it is better to marry than to burn” (1
Corinthians 7:8-9).
“For, behold, the day cometh that shall burn
as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble:
and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the LORD of hosts, that it
shall leave them neither root nor branch” (Malachi 4:1).
“Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities
about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going
after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of
eternal fire” (Jude 1:7).
“Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking
for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto [ETERNAL LIFE]” (Jude 1:21).
“The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the
love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with you all. Amen” (2
Corinthians 13:14).
