JESUS SAVES: We must CONFESS and BELIEVE in JESUS CHRIST and be BAPTIZED by THE HOLY SPIRIT to obtain SALVATION (Matthew 3:1-2, 11) (Luke 17:21) (John 3:3-8; 3:16-18; 14:23) (Acts 1:4-5) (Romans 10:8-10).
To be BAPTIZED by the HOLY SPIRIT is to be BORN OF GOD or BORN OF THE SPIRIT (John 3:3-8)!
“[WHOSOEVER BELIEVETH THAT JESUS IS THE CHRIST
IS BORN OF GOD]: and every one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is
begotten of him” (1 John 5:1).
“Whosoever is [BORN OF GOD DOTH NOT COMMIT
SIN]; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of
God” (1 John 3:9).
BEWARE OF FALSE DOCTRINES preaching and
teaching “water baptism”. Specifically, that unless a person is baptized in
water they will not enter heaven.
John the Baptist was very clear when he spoke
of JESUS saying: “[I INDEED BAPTIZE YOU WITH WATER UNTO REPENTANCE: BUT HE THAT
COMETH AFTER ME IS MIGHTIER THAN I], whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: [HE
SHALL BAPTIZE YOU WITH THE HOLY GHOST, AND WITH FIRE]:’” (Matthew 3:1-2, 11).
Let us also be reminded of the communication
between Our Lord Jesus and Nicodemus about entering the Kingdom of God.
“Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily,
verily, I say unto thee, [EXCEPT A MAN BE BORN AGAIN], he cannot see the
kingdom of God.
Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be
born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother’s womb, and
be born?
Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto
thee, Except a man be [BORN OF WATER AND OF THE SPIRIT], he cannot enter into
the kingdom of God.
That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and
that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
[MARVEL NOT THAT I SAID UNTO THEE, YE MUST BE
BORN AGAIN].
The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou
hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it
goeth: [SO IS EVERY ONE THAT IS BORN OF THE SPIRIT]” (John 3:3-8).
“IN those days came John the Baptist,
preaching in the wilderness of Judæa, And saying, ‘Repent ye: for the kingdom
of heaven is at hand.
[I INDEED BAPTIZE YOU WITH WATER UNTO
REPENTANCE: BUT HE THAT COMETH AFTER ME IS MIGHTIER THAN I], whose shoes I am
not worthy to bear: [HE SHALL BAPTIZE YOU WITH THE HOLY GHOST, AND WITH
FIRE]:’” (Matthew 3:1-2, 11).
“The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto
him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.
This is he of whom I said, After me cometh a
man which is preferred before me: for he was before me. And I knew him not: but
that he should be made manifest to Israel, therefore am I come baptizing with
water.
And John bare record, saying, I saw the Spirit
descending from heaven like a dove, and it abode upon him.
And I knew him not: but he that sent me to
baptize with water, the same said unto me, Upon whom thou shalt see the Spirit
descending, and remaining on him, [THE SAME IS HE WHICH BAPTIZETH WITH THE HOLY
GHOST].
And I saw, and bare record that this is the
Son of God” (John 1:29-34).
Jesus instructed his disciples before he left
this earth said: “Go ye therefore, and [TEACH ALL NATIONS, BAPTIZING THEM IN
THE NAME OF THE FATHER, AND OF THE SON, AND OF THE HOLY GHOST]:” (Matthew
28:19).
Let us also be reminded of what the Apostle
Paul said: “For I speak to you Gentiles, inasmuch as I am the apostle of the
Gentiles, I magnify mine office” (Romans 8:13).
“For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to
preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be
made of none effect. For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish
foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God” (1 Corinthians
1:17-29).
Moreover, Peter and the disciples also then
reiterated and emphasized to the Gentiles, “For it seemed good to the Holy
Ghost, and to us, to lay upon you no greater burden than these necessary
things; that ye abstain from meats offered to idols, and from blood, and from
things strangled, and from fornication: from which if ye keep yourselves, ye
shall do well. Fare ye well” (Acts 15:28–29).
“[FOR CHRIST IS THE END OF THE LAW FOR
RIGHTEOUSNESS TO EVERY ONE THAT BELIEVETH]. For the scripture saith, Whosoever
believeth on him shall not be ashamed. For there is no difference between the
Jew and the Greek: [FOR THE SAME LORD OVER ALL IS RICH UNTO ALL THAT CALL UPON
HIM]. For whosoever shall [CALL UPON THE NAME] of the Lord [SHALL BE SAVED]
(Romans 10:4, 11-13).
“[FOR THE PREACHING OF THE CROSS] is to them
that perish foolishness; but unto us which are [SAVED] it is the power of God.
For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it
pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to [SAVE THEM THAT BELIEVE]” (1
Corinthians 1:19, 21).
“[JESUS CHRIST THE SAME YESTERDAY, AND TODAY,
AND FOREVER]” (Hebrews 13:8).
“Unto him be glory in the church by Christ
Jesus throughout all ages, [WORLD WITHOUT END]. Amen” (Ephesians 3:21).
