How to live in this world?
Our Lord Jesus says: “Take
heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man’s life consisteth not in the
abundance of the things which he possesseth” (Luke 12:15).
“Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you” (Matthew 6:31).
“Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you” (Matthew 6:31).
“Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take
thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof”
(Matthew 6:33-34).
“Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, [DO GOOD TO THEM THAT
HATE YOU], and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;
that ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh
his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and
on the unjust. For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? Do not
even the publicans the same?” (Matthew 5:44-46).
“These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In
the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the
world” (John 16:33).
“I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen” (Matthew
28:20).
