Fornication? “[IT IS BETTER TO MARRY THAN TO BURN]” (1 Corinthians 7:9)
We live in a world where phrases such as “significant other”, “sugar
daddy”, “sweet thing” or “swinging” are celebrated as being normal as portrayed in
music, movies and media. However, by the word of God such these things are not
normal, and anyone finding themselves in any situation to commit fornication
must RUN AS FAST AND AS FAR IN THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION because the word of God
says:
“[NOW THE BODY IS NOT FOR FORNICATION], but for the Lord; and the Lord
for the body. [FLEE FORNICATION]. Every sin that a man doeth is without the
body; but [HE THAT COMMITTETH FORNICATION SINNETH AGAINST HIS OWN BODY]” (1
Corinthians 6:13).
“Nevertheless, [TO AVOID FORNICATION, LET EVERY MAN HAVE HIS OWN WIFE,
AND LET EVERY WOMAN HAVE HER OWN HUSBAND]” (1 Corinthians 7:2). Paul, the
apostle also wrote about the unmarried, widows ans widowers, said: “If they
cannot contain, let them marry: for [IT IS BETTER TO MARRY THAN TO BURN]” (1
Corinthians 7:8-9).
“Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God
dwelleth in you? [IF ANY MAN DEFILE THE TEMPLE OF GOD, HIM SHALL GOD DESTROY];
for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are” (1 Corinthians 3:16–17).
“[LET EVERY SOUL BE SUBJECT UNTO THE HIGHER POWERS. FOR THERE IS NO POWER BUT OF GOD]: the powers that be are ordained of God. Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and [THEY THAT RESIST SHALL RECEIVE TO THEMSELVES DAMNATION]” (Romans 13:1-2).
“[BE NOT DECEIVED; GOD IS NOT MOCKED: FOR WHATSOEVER A MAN SOWETH, THAT
SHALL HE ALSO REAP]. For [HE THAT SOWETH TO HIS FLESH SHALL OF THE FLESH REAP
CORRUPTION]; but [HE THAT SOWETH TO THE SPIRIT SHALL OF THE SPIRIT REAP LIFE
EVERLASTING]” (Galatians 6:7-8).
