GOD is INVISBLE and only by having FAITH WITH WORKS we can please GOD! “But [WITHOUT FAITH IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO PLEASE HIM]: for he that [COMETH TO GOD MUST BELIEVE THAT HE IS], and that [HE IS A REWARDER OF THEM THAT DILIGENTLY SEEK HIM]” (Hebrews 11:6).
We must be profitable servants of God and our Lord Jesus to have FAITH WITH WORKS (Hebrews 11:1-40).
“NOW faith
is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Through
faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, [SO THAT
THINGS WHICH ARE SEEN WERE NOT MADE OF THINGS WHICH DO APPEAR]” (Hebrews 11:1,
3).
James, the
brother of Jesus Christ reminds us when he asked: “What doth it profit, my
brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save
him?” (James 2:14).
“[EVEN SO
FAITH, IF IT HATH NOT WORKS, IS DEAD, BEING ALONE]” (James 2:17).
“If a
brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food, And one of you say
unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give
them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit?
Yea, a man
may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy
works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works” (James 2:15-16, 18).
“By faith
Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because
God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that
he pleased God. But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that
cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that
diligently seek him” (Hebrews 11:5-6).
“By faith
Abraham, when he was tried, offered up Isaac: and he that had received the
promises offered up his only begotten son, Of whom it was said, That in Isaac
shall thy seed be called: Accounting that God was able to raise him up, even
from the dead; from whence also he received him in a figure” (Hebrews
11:17-19).
“By faith
Moses, when he was come to years, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh’s
daughter; Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to
enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season;
Esteeming
the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt: for he had
respect unto the recompence of the reward. By faith he forsook Egypt, not
fearing the wrath of the king: for he endured, as seeing him who is invisible”
(Hebrews 11:24-27).
“WHEREFORE
seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us
lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us
run with patience the race that is set before us,
“Grace be with you all. Amen” (Hebrews 13;25).
