Why does life on this earth have to E N D?
The word
of God says:
“For
I will not contend forever, neither will I be always wroth: for the spirit
should fail before me, and the souls which I have made” (Isaiah 57:16).
“Behold,
all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is
mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die” (Ezekiel 18:4).
“Have
I any pleasure at all that the wicked should die? saith the Lord GOD: and not
that he should return from his ways, and live? For I have no pleasure in the
death of him that dieth, saith the Lord GOD: wherefore turn yourselves, and
live ye” (Ezekiel 18:23, 32).
“God
that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven
and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands; Neither is worshipped with
men’s hands, as though he needed anything, seeing he giveth to all life, and
breath, and all things; And hath made of
one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and
hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation”
(Acts 17:24-26).
“And
the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every
where to [REPENT]: Because he hath [APPOINTED A DAY], in the which he will judge
the world in [RIGHTEOUSNESS] by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath
given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead” (Acts
17:30-31).
“The
Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is
longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all
should come to [REPENTANCE].
But
the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens
shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent
heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.
Seeing
then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye
to be in all holy conversation and godliness, Looking for and hasting unto the
coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved,
and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?” (2 Peter 3:9-12).
Jesus,
the only begotten Son of God, “that man whom he hath ordained” says: “The time
is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: [REPENT] ye, and believe the
gospel” (Mark 1:15). “Except ye repent,
ye shall all likewise perish” (Luke 13:3).
“Heaven
and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away” (Matthew 24:35).
“Nevertheless
we, according to his promise, [LOOK FOR NEW HEAVENS AND A NEW EARTH], wherein
dwelleth [RIGHTEOUSNESS]. Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such
things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and
blameless” (2 Peter 3:13-14).
