LAST DAY: From an Earthly quickened into a CELESTIAL BODY.
“Now
this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God;
neither doth corruption inherit incorruption” (1 Corinthians 15:50).
“There
are also celestial bodies, and bodies terrestrial: but the glory of the
celestial is one, and the glory of the terrestrial is another” (1 Corinthians
15:40).
“The
first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven. As
is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the heavenly, such
are they also that are heavenly. And as we have borne the image of the earthy,
we shall also bear the image of the heavenly. And so it is written, the first
man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit” (1
Corinthians 15:47–49, 45).
“Now
if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. And if Christ be
in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of
righteousness. But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead
dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your
mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you” (Romans 8:9-11).
Jesus
Christ says: “It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing:
the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life” (John
6:63).
“Wherefore
God saith: ‘Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall
give thee light’” (Ephesians 5:14).
“Behold,
I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed” (1
Corinthians 15:51).
“In
a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the [LAST TRUMP]: for the trumpet
shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be
changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must
put on immortality” (1 Corinthians 15:52–53).
“Then
cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the
Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power” (1
Corinthians 15:24).
