The VERY FIRST thing we must do DAILY is to take up the CROSS OF JESUS because he DIED so that we may LIVE; LIVE that is FOREVER (John 3:15-18)!
To take up the CROSS symbolizes that we BELIEVE in the POWER OF GOD that should we die we will NEVER SEE DEATH because of our FAITH in JESUS CHRIST who was VICTORIOUS OVER DEATH when he was RISEN FROM THE DEAD after his crucifixion on Calvary (Luke 23:3).
“For it is
written, ‘I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the
understanding of the prudent.’ [FOR THE PREACHING OF THE CROSS] is to them that
perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it [IS THE POWER OF GOD]. For
after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased
God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe” (1 Corinthians
1:18–19, 21).
“For since
by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead. [FOR AS IN
ADAM ALL DIE, EVEN SO IN CHRIST SHALL ALL BE MADE ALIVE]” (1 Corinthians
15:21–22).
“Therefore
as by the offense of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by
the righteousness of one the [FREE GIFT] came upon all men unto justification
of life” (Romans 5:18).
“[FOR AS THE
FATHER RAISETH UP THE DEAD, AND QUICKENETH THEM; EVEN SO THE SON QUICKENETH
WHOM HE WILL]. For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment
unto the Son: [THAT ALL MEN SHOULD HONOUR THE SON, EVEN AS THEY HONOUR THE
FATHER]. He that honoureth not the Son honoureth not the Father which hath sent
him. Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and [BELIEVETH ON
HIM THAT SENT ME, HATH EVERLASTING LIFE, AND SHALL NOT COME INTO CONDEMNATION;
BUT IS PASSED FROM DEATH UNTO LIFE]” (John 5:21-24).
Now then, as
THE ONLY WAY TO GET THE THINGS THAT ARE ETERNAL IS THROUGH JESUS CHRIST who
died for us; for this purpose then WE SHOULD LIVE UNTO HIM AND NOT UNTO
OURSELVES (2 Corinthians 5:15).
“Verily, verily, I say unto you, He
that [HEARETH MY WORD], and [BELIEVETH] on him that sent me, hath [EVERLASTING
LIFE], and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto
life” (John 5:24).
“Verily, verily, I say unto you, If a
man keep my saying, he shall [NEVER SEE DEATH]” (John 8:51).
“Unto him be glory in the church by
Christ Jesus throughout all ages, [WORLD WITHOUT END]. Amen” (Ephesians 3:21).
“To him be glory and dominion for
ever and ever. Amen” (1 Peter 5:11).
