DOCTRINE OF CHRIST the LIGHT of the GOSPEL from the FATHER OF LIGHTS (Romans 1:16) (Hebrews 6:1-7) (James 1:17) or church doctrines?
“Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. [HE THAT ABIDETH IN THE DOCTRINE OF CHRIST, HE HATH BOTH THE FATHER AND THE SON]” (2 John 1:9).
Too much time is wasted debating, dissenting and
disputing the word of God instead of building the house of God: “Who hath saved
us, and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but
according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus
before the world began” (2 Timothy 1:9).
Notwithstanding the proliferation of religions and
church denominations, there is only one building of the Kingdom of God through
the Holy Spirit, built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus
Christ himself being the chief cornerstone; in whom all the building fitly
framed together to grow to the end of time unto a holy temple in the Lord
(Ephesians 2:20–22).
At the end of time, it is not a specific religion or
church denomination as it is the doctrines of many that will be redeemed from
this earth. We are to beware of adhering to the doctrines of men; we should
obtain knowledge of and obey the word of God. Jesus warned of this very fact
when he sent his angel with letters to the early seven churches in the
revelation of John (Revelation 1:11).
“Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above,
and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness,
neither shadow of turning” (James 1:17).
“For many deceivers are entered into the world, who
confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an
antichrist. Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ,
hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the
Father and the Son. If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine,
receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed: For he that biddeth
him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds” (2 John 1:7, 9-11).
“One Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father
of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all. But unto every one
of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ” (Ephesians
4:5-7).
“[JESUS CHRIST THE SAME YESTERDAY, AND TODAY, AND
FOREVER]” (Hebrews 13:8). “Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus
throughout all ages, [WORLD WITHOUT END]. Amen” (Ephesians 3:21).
