GOD sent HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON to this earth just over “two days” ago that through him the whole world may be SAVED (John 3:16-18).
“Two days” ago?
From God’s prospective it was just over two days ago: “For a [THOUSAND YEARS IN THY SIGHT ARE BUT AS YESTERDAY] when it is past, and as a watch in the night” (Psalm 90:4).
Now, to this day, many people are boldly expressing that the world is not going to end anytime soon, going so far as to mock those who are sounding the warning that TIME IS COMING TO AN END (Matthew 24:36) (Revelation 11:18).
This same since of rebellion was also taking place when our Lord Jesus
left his disciples to begin preaching the gospel from Jerusalem (Luke 24:45-48).
Peter, a disciple of Jesus said: “Knowing this first, that there shall
come in the [LAST DAYS] scoffers, walking after their own lusts, And saying,
‘[WHERE IS THE PROMISE OF HIS COMING]? for since the fathers fell asleep, all
things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation” (2 Peter
3:3-4).
“[WHEREBY THE WORLD THAT THEN WAS], being overflowed with water,
perished: But the heavens and the earth, which are now, [BY THE SAME WORD ARE
KEPT IN STORE, RESERVED UNTO FIRE AGAINST THE DAY OF JUDGMENT AND PERDITION OF
UNGODLY MEN]” (2 Peter 3:6-7).
“But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that [ONE DAY IS WITH
THE LORD AS A THOUSAND YEARS, AND A THOUSAND YEARS AS ONE DAY]” (2 Peter 3:8).
Every human being would be wise to be ready for the LAST DAY because human
beings only have this lifetime to REPENT AND BELIEVE THE GOSPEL (Matthew 25:31-34, 41, 46) (Revelation 11:18, 20:11-15).
“And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all
men every where to [REPENT]: Because he hath [APPOINTED A DAY], in the which he
will judge the world in [RIGHTEOUSNESS] by that man whom he hath ordained;
whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from
the dead” (Acts 17:30-31).
JESUS says: “[THE TIME IS FULFILLED], and the kingdom of God is at hand:
[REPENT YE, AND BELIEVE THE GOSPEL]” (Mark 1:15). “Except ye repent, ye shall all likewise
perish” (Luke 13:3).
“[FOR AS A SNARE SHALL IT COME ON ALL THEM THAT DWELL ON THE FACE OF THE
WHOLE EARTH].
[WATCH YE THEREFORE, AND PRAY ALWAYS], that ye may be accounted [WORTHY
TO ESCAPE ALL THESE THINGS] that shall come to pass, [AND TO STAND BEFORE] the
Son of man” (Luke 21:35-36).
“The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen” (Philippians
4:23).
