Rapture?

The bible verse (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17) which is often incorrectly referred to as the “rapture” is actually the beginning and ending of events at the End of the World on the Last Day, the Day of Judgment when the Jesus returns and redeems the kingdom of God to heaven (Matthew 24:3-4).

Jesus explained in detail, the events of that day, saying: “When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory; and before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats; and he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left. Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, ‘Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world’” (Matthew 25:31–34).

“Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the Devil and his angels. And these shall go away into everlasting punishment” (Matthew 25:41, 46).

When Jesus gives the command to his sheep saying: “Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world” is the event as Paul described “…Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord” (1 Thessalonians 4: 16-17).

“Truth shall spring out of the earth; and righteousness shall look down from heaven” (Psalm 85:11).

After Jesus and God’s holy angels redeem all God’s called and chosen elect from this earth, “then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power” (1 Corinthians 15:24).
“Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, [AND BY OUR GATHERING TOGETHER UNTO HIM], whereunto he called you by our gospel, to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions which ye have been taught, whether by word, or our epistle.  Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God, even our Father, which hath loved us, and hath given us everlasting consolation and good hope through grace” (2 Thessalonians 2:1, 14-16).
